Why do you s'pose it is that he doesnt want Yukina or Kuwabara to know that she's his sister? I can see not wanting it public knowledge; Hiei does have enemys that would use her to get to him.... but not even tell her or Kuwabara? Do you s'pose Hiei thinks his relationships with them would change if they knew the truth? It couldnt be that bad right?

maybe he thinks that if kuwabara knows, then kuwabara will eventually let that info slip to yukina. so i think it all boils down to hiei keeping yukina in the dark. :|

Maybe he doesn't want Yukina to know because he feels he has failed her as a brother all these years when he wasn't there for her or when he couldn't protect her. His insecurity manifests itself as a battle lost because he, the strong dominant male figure, could not save, rescue, protect Yukina, the weak, submissive, female figure in need of nothing more than a brother's protection. By covering it up and not telling Yukina he failed he thinks he protects what is left of his ability to fight and remains strong. When in reality his failure to admit his weakness only perpetuates his inabilities and makes him all that much more vulnerable... which is what he's trying to avoid in the first place by NOT telling Yukina anything... But then again, this is all merely speculation.

Its an Ep. He didn't want Yusuke to know either. But if kuwabara stayed for 1 minute later in the first ep of rescue Yukina he would've known. But i have a hunch that Yukina has a hunch that Hiei is her brother.
