Where'd all the RPG's go? Where'd the good ones go?!

I'm terribly sorry, but with school and .. homework, I don't get a whole lot of 'me time'.

I know that sounds horribly selfish but I don't think I could efficiently run an RP or even take part in an RP as a crucial character right now.. I pretty much only have time in the late evenings and on the weekends. Plus there are alot of other things I've been neglecting ^^;;;;;;;

Not to mention, it takes a long damn time to type up an RP post.. lol. Honestly I kinda just don't want to either.. theres other things I'd rather be doing with my limited time.

Sad to say but there hasn't been a good one up here in awhile (don't know much about Cammy's, never participated in his last one). SICD has been the only one I've participated in on this board (besides DX's short lived Fantasy RP) in awhile and its been the only good one I've seen in a long while.

You have to note that people have busy schedules and don't have time to make RPs, post in them, and keep them up and running. If you want to RP create your own, thats the only way your gonna get some RPing done here.

I hate creating my own rp's. They are pretty good but it just takes so long and you usually are held with a higher respect as the creator of the rp. I just like to be a regular character who just rp's.

there arent enough people that take my style of RP seriously enough to spend time on one, I am short on time myself. My RPs take alot of dedication and typing and reading, and alot of attention to the storyline and what everyone else is doing at the same tiime all the time.

I have thought about starting up another SICD a few times but I don't feel that there is enough interest.

I'd join because i now type in the SICD style. The rule on my RPG is each post has to be at least 3 setences and must be spell checked.(helps make it more literate.)

If you restart if Cammy has more time he'd probably join to.

3 sentences never cuts it for a SICD upate. 8-9 is really pushing it. unless it has alot of NPC dialog.

have you looked at the SICD archive on the AC network?

BlitzZ 3 sentences is probably what one person has said in SICD. The usual post in SICD was like three paragraphs worth, heck probably more.

Sadly though I don't think we have the skilled RPers that we once had. No one has the devoution to sit there and read the previous posts completely thru, incorporate that into their post, and to continue doing it. I hate to say it but half the RPers left don't even have the skill to keep up with an SICD type RPG (not saying anything at you guys personally but it is true, SICD took alot of time and patience to RP in which if you saw at the end only 5 of the original RPers posted at the end). Sadly interest would be lost after the first couple of posts.

Though DX if you ever do make a new incarnation of SICD count me in. Its one of the best RPs I've participated in in along time.

Anyways I remember that. Heck half my posts took a good hour to write then there was the whole half hour double check involving changes, tweaks, and spell checking. Ah the good old days.

thinking about it makes me eager to start one lol. 32 topic pages was quite a feat. I think it was 800 replies or something.

Sorry bout that, just in my RPG there are barely any literates and people love to write 1 sentence worth. 3 sentences is okay on my watch.I read SICD and wish I was there to be in it. It's just that many people now dont know what a spell checker is.

Maybe one day we will get more people interested in RPing here and ill start another one. I really had fun running it.

i don't play rpgs.. i suck. x_x; but if anyone wants to get a good rpg going again i'll make some ic, occ and npc bbcodes based on the [offtopic] bbcode if that would help organizing the posts.. i could even color coordinate them. ^_^

cool that sound cool we might get a good one going if more would join the steam punk thing
