Akira13's opinion of this movie couldn?t be more opposite of mine.
The story goes:
A sayian comes to earth to ask Vegita to go with him to destroy the legendary super sayian that is destroying the south part of the universe, and that he wishes Vegita to rule the new sayian home world. Vegita doesn?t believe there is a true super sayian and goes along to become the king as he is proud of his heritage. You find that the man who asked for Vegitas help is in fact a sayian banished form the original sayian home world for his son was born with incredible power, far greater then that of any sayian. King Vegita (Vegita?s father) ordered the babies death but even though the baby was stabbed it did not die and even survived the planets destruction (Freeza saga). Back to the present, the man?s son is Brolli the legend himself, even though Goku and Vegita are super sayians they are not the legend, Brolli's powers are far too much for his father to control and he loses his sanity in the presence of Goku and completely powers up for battle. As Akira stated he wanted to kill Goku because Goku made Brolli cry when they were born (same day) Goku's shouting intimidated Brolli leaving him feeling inferior even though his power was incomparable to Gokus whose power was level 2 and Brolli's being 10000.
The battle takes place with all Earth's fighters on another planet; Brolli is a walking power house that dominates the fight. Personally I believe Akira mistook Vegita?s actions, Vegita was in sheer shock of the fact a being such as Brolli existed after he sensed his power, and couldn?t move due to it, he was scared of dying in a battle that could not be won. Vegita does find his strength to stand and fight with the others but not even the prince can make a difference. The ending of this movie was excellent and the pace of it was very fast. The action being top class and the animation I cannot comment on as well I had downloaded a poor quality version but if it is like the series then I?ll give it a 10. Story 8 (good short movie, mad most of what they had) Action 9 (brilliant fight against mass odds) Characters 10 (Brolli may be a power house but he is the true super sayian) Pace 10 (unlike the series the battle didn?t have large power up sequences) animation (great).
This is my opinion of the movie though. I suggest watching it to decide for yourself.
