you get ur 1st real job
mine was at 16 i worked in a bakery
at 18 i left and now work for blockbusters

been there a year so i am a shift runner,

i study full time though so social life kinda suffers at times

14. But my dad owns the company, so i got to start earlier. But when i'm 16 (which is soon) I'm gonna try to get a job at A movie thater where my brother and sister worked.

When i was 16 i got paid untaxed money to sit infront of a computer at a bank and demo the banks new website, no one ever wanted to see it, so i sat there for 6 hours a day for 2 weeks. Sadly it was only a 2 week job.

when I turned 18 I got a job at Winn-Dixie and that is where i work to this day.

16, when I got my job at the hell hole known as Econofoods. I will be quitting here pretty soon though (that is once I find a new job).

I had a job at my dads business at 13. Im gonna try to get a job at the grand, a theater in biloxi, and i hope to get it.

i had a paper route at 12ish i think for about half a year (once a week delivery), in middle school i worked at the lunch cafeteria everyday for 1/2 hour (got paid every two weeks.. whopping $10 or so, but it was good enough back then. ^_^). at 15 i worked part time at MCL cafeteria about 20 hours a week for minimum wage. i actually worked there for 2 years so yeah, that was my first real job. since then, i've worked for about 5-6 other companies with the most recent for 2 years and going.

Wow, wow, wow, God! Sledge, never knew u had it in u. I coul never work for 5-6 companies in that time span.

14 at the Szechuan Inn (a chinese restaurant..and the first non-chinese to work there) and still do and I am 17 now.

I also worked a double job at the New Ideal Diner but they were really racist so I quit...and now my current double job is at McDonalds in which I have been working at for the last 3 months.

I work 6-7 days a week and some days (like Sundays sometimes) double shifts where I'll be at McDonalds in the morning and the Szechuan Inn at night.

I also am in my senior year of highschool...and wanting to get to SUNY @ Albany to double major in Art and East Asian Studies with a minor in Japanese Studies...That's why I'm working so much...I have to pay for it all myself.

In my country there's nothing like part-time jobs. Everything's salaried (no hourly payment) and full-time is the work culture. Which is why, it's harder and takes longer for teenagers or full-time students like me do a job side-by-side. I haven't worked in my life, I would've if dad owned a business though :p

Intresting indeed. When you think of NY, you never really thing about agriculture. What kind of farms are in NY, whats the main stock or whatever its called. Im guessing wheat. Or maybe just the beef industry.

the first job I had when I was 13 or 14...had to dilever some folders...then I had a job when I was 15 or so...working in a super market...but that supermarket sucked and now i work at an other one...for more than a half year now...and i'm 17 now

Oh! If you want to include farm work...Then I started working on the neighbor's farm for them when I was 8... or was I 7? I don't really remember. I was really young and I would be out in the fields picking up rocks all day...-_-;

Indeed you can. I'm 13... But I have already worked in the fields!!! I did a day at my friends dad's company rolling sod.

NY is another one of the big dairy states. I grew up in the sticks surrounded by farms so eh...
I will say this tho, the first time I saw a cow up close it scared the hell outta me. It was huge :sdrop3:
