Ancient Clan

Ancient Clan has been running since May 1, 2000. It has come along way over the many years and the future is looking brighter than ever. The purpose of this topic is to inform everyone of a few key points of interest for AC's near future. As many of you may have noticed, http://www.ancientclan.com/ has a new layout. With its new CMS, the new Ancient Clan site is easier than ever to update and maintain. Now everyone can expect frequent updates and news. Along with a forums login and recent posts on every page, the new AC site is looking pretty spiffy. We are still in the process of moving all the old content over and this may take a few weekends to accomplish.

New Server

Some of you may remember an announcement about an additional server. As plans are now, we will be moving Ancient Clan to the new server by the end of this month. And no, the forums will not be affected by the move. All topics, posts, etc. will be transferred.

Forum features

- Reputation system

The reputation system is nearing completion. A detailed post about the new system will be made sometime this week. I won't get into the details here, but the current reputation comments are going to be cleaned out and all users will have their reputation points reset. All reputation comments will be marked with usernames and nothing will be anonymous. There will be a few rules to go with the new system. There will be benefits for users with high reputation and there will be slight downsides for users with bad reputations. Also keep in mind that abuse of this system is highly unlikely do to its settings and admin moderating abilities.

- Forum Referrals

If you look in the FAQ, you will see a referral link specifically for your username. Login, and click the following link to view the details:

By giving this referral link to an intelligent friend and having them sign up by using it, you will get a referral. By referring a friend, you can help promote the AC Forums and bring new members to it that can further develop the quality of the topics. By referring new members you can be eligible for usergroup promotions that can include benefits such as a larger pm box, forum attachments, etc. Keep in mind that we do not condone spamming, and users that spam their referral link will be ineligible for promotions and risk getting themselves banned.

Canada

The cold conditions in NY is forcing us to take action against Canada. AC will be invading Canada this Saturday in an attempt to take control... j/k :p or am I? ;)

I shall join you in your quest... FOR FREEDOM!! I was actually really worried for a moment when I saw Canada on the agenda.

The cold conditions in NY is forcing us to take action against Canada. AC will be invading Canada this Saturday in an attempt to take control... of their hockey teams, once we have them, we will then turn them into mindless slaves thanks to the "chibi eppy penetration attack." at which point we will turn the hockey players loose on the general public and demand more warmth to the states! :x

American Football is kinda more dramatic I figure. I say this because of what I see in the movies and how enthusiastic everyone is, the players and the crowd, which is a really good thing ^_^. With Rugby, you have a different crowd and outlook to it. I don't get to watch American Football but I do get to watch the Rugby Worldcup, like I did last year.
