How much older then Inu Yasha do you suppose Sesshomaru really is?

I've heard a few #'s kicked around. There are the 50 years that Inuyasha spent impaled on the tree. He was a grown man when Kikyo shot him, His mother didn't see him as an adult which leads me to belive she died when Inu Yasha was still a kid. It makes me wonder how long it took Inu Yasha to grow up. Longer then a normal human life span I suppose. The most common # I've run across for how long ago father died/when Inu Yasha was born is 200 years.

Sesshomaru was, for the most part, already a grown man when his father died. How old was he then, I dunno but if you go by the way Shippo grows and the way Inu Yasha grew Sesshomaru would have had to be at least 200 when Inu Yasha was born.

thats a really hard number to guess at.. i wonder if any of the latter episodes or even the manga would shed some light on it.

I couldn't even begin to guess that one! It'd help to have a max comparison in their father, but he very well could've been over 1,000 years old when Inuyasha was born, which would explain why he was so powerful. If Sesshomaru were at least 200 when Inuyasha was born, then he very well could be at least 500 or more now. It's really hard to tell because so many years of Inuyasha's life aren't in the series at all. It's hard to tell how he aged and whether or not he ages the same way Sesshomaru does.

The ages that I've heard for Sesshomaru are anywhere from 70 to 700...and as for Inuyasha I've heard anywhere from 67 to 300...but I think it's safe to say Sesshomaru is probably a good 200 years older than Inuyasha.

I'd probably say Inuyasha would be around 67 if you include the 50 years he was pinned to that tree. If he were much older than 17 when he was shot by that arrow, he'd probably act a little more mature now.

The majority of my sorces for chara info peg Sesshy at 700+ yrs old

But that makes him marginally younger than Yoda ...

i'm guesing with lady i think it's also 200. though then it makes you think even more if he was really 150 when he and kikyou last saw eachother alive

Keade was about 9 years old when Kikyo died. She's 60ish and Kikyo is about 10ish years older then Keade...

I personally agree with those who pegged InuYasha at about 67 or so. He is way immature. At max I'd say that InuYasha is about 100. But, I only agree with this because of his maturity. I'm open to the fact that I could be completely wrong!

On the other end of the spectrum, I agree that Sesshomaru is around 700. He seems too powerful, too calculated, and too hardened by ages spent alone to be any younger.

All i know for a Fact Inu-yasha is 200 he fell in love with 150 cause 200 years ago his father died and he was bron and plus he spent 50 years in the tree and after he was set free the 3rd movie took place.

In the dub Jaken says something about serving Sesshomaru for -was it 5 or 8 hundred years- The ep was just on the other night >.< the one where Kouga and Sesshomaru meet

That makes it confusing cause 200 years ago in feudal Japan Inu was born and sessy was looking like a kid. Jakken met him when he was grown according to the show???????????????

I think I've heard mostly anymore that Sesshoumaru is closer to 700 then anything, and he's still a puppy compared to his father in size and age.

According to Madman Entertainments mini InuYasha site Inuyasha is 17-18 (excluding the 50 yrs he has pinned to the tree) and Sesshomaru is listed as being 70+ yrs.

In Movie 3 they showed the bith of Inu-yasha then it said 200 years later and then you see Inu-yasha walking with Kagome thus making him 200 years old. Since he spent 50 years on the tree he met Kykyo at 150.

I guess that works...but...that seems awfuly old.

True...but I still don't think Inuyasha is that old...Sesshy yes, but I can't see Inuyasha being that old.

I couldn't Beleve it Either i thought i mis read the Subtitles so i rewinded and rewinded but it said 200 years later from the night inu was born into Inu walking with the crew.

What you say makes sence. To bad the people that make the movies don't alwase think as logicly as that. They go through in some magical number to confuse us anime fans even more ^_^;

Remember the first episode she shot him and he died, therfore he couldn't have aged those 50 years. He is still possibly 16 years of age.

As for, Sess. is probably a good 200 years. hopefully soon they will make that clearer maybe we will get learn more on the family and their history.

You can't go by his maturity level. How many immature adults do you know? I know plenty of them. So yeah he is a little whinny, but it's anime, so thaqt is to be expected as well. Kuwabara is right, Demons, age slower than humans, they age slow enough so that it seems that they are immortal. i am wiling to guess that Sesshoumaru was a little bit older than Inuyasha when Inuyasha was born. Of course, it's just a guess.

I just thought of something...Demons age a physically a lot slower than humans...so Inuyasha could very well be 200 years old, and just look like he's 16-18, that makes a lot of sence as well.

If InuYasha is like 200 or more that is a lot of candles on his B-day ^_^:

He looked a good 16 but that is impossible according to the Creators of the show.

I got I know how old he is :D
