I know Hiten is from WAY back, but I was watching those episodes with him and he reminds me so much of Bankotsu. I mean not only the way he looks, but the way he sounds and acts....I was wondering if any of you thought the same thing.

*ponders* Now that you mention it....totally. I wonder if maybe there is some connection with them.

not me. it's just mere coincidence in character design(they have so many it wouldnt be surprising one overlaped the another). one was human and the other was demon. would you have thought if bankotsu was related to hiten's little bald brother in different circumstances? doubt it.

I have to agree with Slippers on this one. It's just a striking similarity.
With the sound, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same voice actor, Paul Dobson does both Myoga and Naraku's voices.

I just know that Rumiko has a lot of similarities in characters, even from series to series. In Ranma 1/2, there's a character that not only looks just like Myoga, the same guy (Paul Dobson) does the voice in the same style as Myoga, too. :)

Kaisha, a friend recently gave me all his Ranma 1/2 VHS because he no longer owned a VCR, so I stayed up all night and watched all ten tapes he gave me. Happy is SO similar to Myoga. I should borrow the manga from him. He goes to the Anime Convention in Seattle every year and spends a ton of money.

Sorry we did get off topic. But anyways, yeah I guess it was to be expected that sooner or later we would see 2 characters that were very much alike.

Hey, Miyoga and Totousai look a lot alike, but it's doubtful they are related. At least, I hope not. I once saw seasons 2 and 3 of Digimon and thought Kari was the teacher in season 3 because her voice and character design were EXACTLY alike. Of course, this was completely coincidence.
