Right. So recently, certain things have started showing up in Japanese, namely: The games on MSN Messenger, people's MSN MySpace's, and the MSN frontpage. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
When will MSN understand that I CAN'T READ JAPANESE?!?! |

Sledgstone July 9th, 2005, 08:44 PM O_o that sounds f*cked up. heres a theory tho: do you have a japanese language pack installed? maybe its detecting your language pack and is displaying info "relevant" to you. friggin microsoft system scanning crap. i don't have the japanese pack installed right now and everything on msn.com is english for me. :| Akira13 July 9th, 2005, 08:45 PM Hmmm. That could be it. Do you know of a way to remedy that? Would just uninstalling the pack work? gokuDX7 July 9th, 2005, 10:17 PM Hmmm. That could be it. Do you know of a way to remedy that? Would just uninstalling the pack work? It should, Or send a bug report to Micro$oft. cfioncn July 10th, 2005, 09:50 AM Your proxy could have some sort of wierd setting. For example, once i had to change my proxy and MSN and Google both started automatically directing me to the Korean sites. Vincent July 10th, 2005, 06:46 PM are you using XP? go to: Control Panel Regional and Language settings and go through all the tabs and make sure everything is set for North America and English. Look especially at the tab that lists your location. Akira13 July 11th, 2005, 01:46 AM Tried everything you guys have mentioned. Problem isn't fixed. gokuDX7 July 11th, 2005, 11:15 PM go to: Control Panel add/remove programs look for jap or chinese language pack uninstall it. Problem solved. With the pack uninstalled there should be no way of things being displayed as jap or chinese unless you installed some other 3rd party software. |
