Akira13 July 7th, 2005, 03:55 PM If it was a torrent, they are most likely image files of some form. The program Alchohol 120% might help you burn them. Sledgstone July 8th, 2005, 09:53 PM .mkv is a video file. its like an .ogg file. i have a few but i haven't downloaded the codec to play them yet.. i think this is the right codec: http://www.matroska.org/downloads/windows.html and sfv stands for simple file verification.. sometimes its attached to a torrent and it runs at the end of the download to verify your file is complete. other than that, unless its something else, you can probably delete it. Camron July 8th, 2005, 09:55 PM That's a dual audio file I think you have there guyver.. that's the filetype my Texhnolyze came in. Use VLC media player to watch those. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Strider Hiryu July 8th, 2005, 10:21 PM .mkv files don't like VLAN (or atleast my VLAN player doesn't like them). Something with the program and whatnot. Best bet to watch .mkv files is on Media Player Classic found at this link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli VLAN will play .ogg and .ogm files, it just doesn't like .mkv files unless you set it up to watch those (which requires alot of patching and whatnot). Media Player Classic plays all types of files so that should help you out. Camron July 8th, 2005, 11:36 PM I dont know what the crap you're talking about.. they run fine in mine. I didn't set up or patch anything. Sledgstone July 8th, 2005, 11:44 PM i generally use the most recent version of windows media player. i just download all the codecs and i haven't had any problems with anything. i've used vlc quite a few times too, but i notice pixelation alot with ogg files. (i haven't experimented much with media player and ogg tho, so it could just be my files.) *shrugs* cfioncn July 9th, 2005, 05:41 PM Try using "BSplayer" Strider Hiryu July 10th, 2005, 12:12 AM I dont know what the crap you're talking about.. they run fine in mine. I didn't set up or patch anything. Mine must be screwed up then cause mine won't recognize .mkv files. I have to run them with MPC. I'm not complaining, I actually like MPC better then I like VLC. Guyver July 11th, 2005, 08:24 AM thx guys ill try all the players you suggested ones bound to work much appriciation |
